I investigated the influence of various annealing environments on the defect emission from ZnO nanorods produced in laboratories by CBD method at Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University using the following techniques of characterisation: XRD, SEM, PL Spectroscopy, Micro-PL spectroscopy, Time resolved PL Spectroscopy, XPS, etc. The specific emphasis was on developing an improved understanding of the luminescent centres in ZnO nanorods.

Now under a PhD project, I am busy engineering the band gap of Titanium dioxide.
